1) Do you agree that the existing walking routes shown (solid red line) are currently suitable for walking?

No

Please comment:

Ely is full of rubbish and illegal bikes and scooters making it unsafe to walk

2) Do you agree that the existing cycling routes shown (solid blue line) are currently suitable for cycling?

No

Please comment:

There are no segregated cycling paths all of the roads in Ely are dangerous to cycle on. There are many speeding motor vehicles and scooters. There is no order and no safety.

3) Do you agree with the proposed new routes for walking (dashed red line)?

Partially

Please comment:

There needs to be a safe walking route to and from the culver house cross shopping area. Not everyone can afford a car

4) Do you agree with the proposed new routes for walking and cycling (dashed blue line)?

Partially

Please comment:

As long as the cycling routes are segregated

5) Are there additional routes for walking (existing or proposed) that you think should be shown on the map?

Yes

If yes, please provide details below:

The route from ely to culver house cross shopping area. The vehicles quite often do not stop at red pedestrian crossings and also stop in the crossing area making it very dangerous. The walk area over the bridge is also dangerous as the road is much wider than the pavement and the sides are too low.

6) Are there additional routes for cycling (existing or proposed) that you think should be shown on the map?

Yes

If yes, please provide details below:

If the area marked on grand avenue will be segregated then I agree with it. I was knocked over cycling on this road so have a lot to say about it and how dangerous it is.

7) Do you agree with the proposals in the schedule of schemes for this ward?

Partially

Please comment, including the relevant scheme reference number(s) in your comments:

Subject to a segregated cycle lane so vulnerable road users are protected from speeding Close passing vehicles.

8) Are there any additional schemes you think should be included in the schedule of schemes?

No

Please comment, including location information:

9) Do you have any other comments on the Draft Active Travel Network Map for Cardiff?

As long as it provides safe travel for walkers and cyclists it will be doing its job. But it has to be tested by cyclists and walkers before money is spent. It has to be fit for purpose.

I don't understand. These routes are regular roads with pavements, how to the differ from other roads and what makes them a walking route?

I can't cycle so no comment

3) Do you agree with the proposed new routes for walking (dashed red line)?

Again, I don't understand why you are highlighting these roads as different from any other roads
