A link from Newport Road to the new development, going along either Tyr Winch Rd or Wern Fawr Lane, and then down Bridge Road. The route should then go along the shared use path through the new development (where Bridge Road used to be), which connects up with St Mellons Road as it goes under the dual carriageway.

Yes

Please comment, including location information:

There should be a scheme to open up St Mellons Road to the business parks and shopping parks adjacent, by providing dropped kerbs and lighting, this would provide a safe entrance exit without using the car heavy entrances.

1) Do you agree that the existing walking routes shown (solid red line) are currently suitable for walking?

Partially

Please comment:

the map does not show any walking routes if you are referring to public footpaths then a big No, They are poorly maintained overgrown and in many areas completely blocked. They are NOT maintained correctly and have been allowed to have been built upon. ( Cardiff Gate.) The path at the rear of Unicorn Pub alongside A48 St Ederyns has been flooded and blocked since reported 2016, The excuse is building work by developer. the development moved away in 2018. Cardiff Council is scared of taking action against Big Companies like Persimmon homes!

2) Do you agree that the existing cycling routes shown (solid blue line) are currently suitable for cycling?

Partially

Please comment:

overgrown in many palces, example the old Croescadarn road which runs north and south from Heol Pontprennau. we are unable to get the overgrowth cut back to a sensible level due to an alleged Dormouse Habitat, this habitat is now spreading throughout Pontprennau and we are left with dangerous overhanging Brambles which attack cyclist!t

3) Do you agree with the proposed new routes for walking (dashed red line)?

No

Please comment:

isnt one. Pontprennau expands but gets forgotten although they pay a lot into the councils fund base!

4) Do you agree with the proposed new routes for walking and cycling (dashed blue line)?
