1) Do you agree that the existing walking routes shown (solid red line) are currently suitable for walking?

No

Please comment:

There appear to be no existing walking routes

2) Do you agree that the existing cycling routes shown (solid blue line) are currently suitable for cycling?

No

Please comment:

Broad street is not safe for cycling, neither is Sloper Road. Although speed limits have been cut to 20mph, vehicles often travel much faster. It would be interesting to see the average speed using the speed monitor at the top end of Broad Street. I think a dedicated cycle lane down both these streets would help people cycling into the city centre from Canton.

3) Do you agree with the proposed new routes for walking (dashed red line)?

No

Please comment:

The Ely trail is not suitable for walking in many places. Especially after heavy rainfall. There are several large puddles which make it very difficult to pass unless you want your feet wet! I think more gravel needs to be put down (this has been done in one area recently but it has not solved the whole problem)

4) Do you agree with the proposed new routes for walking and cycling (dashed blue line)?

No

5) Are there additional routes for walking (existing or proposed) that you think should be shown on the map?

Yes

If yes, please provide details below:

Please improve the state of the Ely Trail for walkers.

6) Are there additional routes for cycling (existing or proposed) that you think should be shown on the map?

No

7) Do you agree with the proposals in the schedule of schemes for this ward?

No

Please comment, including the relevant scheme reference number(s) in your comments:

I don't know what a schedule of schemes is. This question is not very user friendly/helpful

8) Are there any additional schemes you think should be included in the schedule of schemes?

Yes

Please comment, including location information:

Parking will become a major issue on broad street and off roads especially when there is a match one which already causes major inconveniences due to road closures

2) Do you agree that the existing cycling routes shown (solid blue line) are currently suitable for cycling?

Partially

Please comment:

Cycle lanes that stop often, cross roads, have street furniture obstructions, have traffic lights etc. are unlikely to be used (if it’s slower than cycling on the road many cyclists will opt for the road). I think it can only be considered a proper cycle lane if you would happily take your small children to cycle on it without fear of them getting killed.

Yes

4) Do you agree with the proposed new routes for walking and cycling (dashed blue line)?

Please comment:

I’d be very happy if all these blue dotted line areas were made into proper cycling lanes (e.g. safe and wide for wobbly small children)
