Please comment:

Grand avenue is more than wide enough to accommodate good cycling infrastructure like segregated cycle lanes and it would also be nice to not be forced into driving to get to a place that's as close as St Fagans

No

Please comment:

Land north of Trem Y Coed should be the focus of connecting Ely to St Fagans. Also improve paths in great Plymouth woods which would encourage active travel and reduce ani social behaviour

7) Do you agree with the proposals in the schedule of schemes for this ward?

West Cardiff is always last to receive anything. Ely and Caerau are further away from the centre, so should take priority over places closer which already have access to already provided routes

8) Are there any additional schemes you think should be included in the schedule of schemes?

Yes

Please comment, including location information:

A direct route to the centre from Ely/Caerau and link to Fairwater

9) Do you have any other comments on the Draft Active Travel Network Map for Cardiff?

A travel friendly route to an Ely train station, which would aceept bikes

1) Do you agree that the existing walking routes shown (solid red line) are currently suitable for walking?

No

Please comment:

Speeding traffic (60mph) , rife illegal off road bikes, e-scooters, rife pavement parking make for unpleasant walking. Not sure what makes the current red line areas qualify as walking routes?

2) Do you agree that the existing cycling routes shown (solid blue line) are currently suitable for cycling?

No

Please comment:

There aren’t any at all

3) Do you agree with the proposed new routes for walking (dashed red line)?

Partially

Please comment:

There needs to be SO many more! Speeding traffic, illegal off road bikes, e-scooters, litter, fly tipping, pavements in poor condition, rife pavement parking make for unpleasant walking and need sorting.

4) Do you agree with the proposed new routes for walking and cycling (dashed blue line)?

Partially

Please comment:

I look forward to having one on grand Avenue this is a great idea :) . Will it be segregated from traffic? Again Speeding traffic (up to 60mph or 70mph in some cases), e-scooters, illegal off road bikes, rife pavement parking make for unpleasant walking and need addressing to make it safe.

5) Are there additional routes for walking (existing or proposed) that you think should be shown on the map?

Yes

If yes, please provide details below:

There needs to be cycle lanes added to Cowbridge Road West! Ely area seems to revolve around cars/traffic. At the same time people who live here may not have many cars, so could benefit a great deal from much more active travel routes/larger network than proposed, routes that are safe and attractive/pleasant to use for better health and wellbeing. Currently it’s too much air and noise pollution. Please add more if you can.

6) Are there additional routes for cycling (existing or proposed) that you think should be shown on the map?
